As I am trying to get in the best shape possible, which for me is about dropping as much of that stubborn belly fat, etc. It was suggested to me that I go on “Carb Curfew”. So, effective immediately I am now on a Carb Curfew. Read below for some more information about the theory behind it.
This is a variation of a normal healthy weight loss program but with the addition of excluding any carbs foods from your meals after 5pm. The theory is your body absorbs more carbohydrates in the evening so you can put on more weight. So cut them out after 5pm and it should help you lose weight. The rest of the diet is a good balance of healthy lower fat eating with body plans and exercise.
Pros
- Helps to regulate what you eat and cut down on nighttime snacking.
- If followed with a sensible weight loss program then weight loss will be good and steady.
Cons
- Nutritionists are skeptical about starch curfew and say there is no scientific evidence, but if it stops people overly consuming on biscuits, cakes and sweets as they sit down to watch TV, then it’s a good plus.
- The diet also means you must eat more starchy foods in the daytime to make up your recommended amount.
