Now that I have come up with my Nutrition Plan and Workout Plan, now its time to review my Supplement Plan.

Protein Supplement

Protein powder is such a premium here in Bali so I am going to try instead to get most of my protein from whole foods. But, post-workout I most certainly will be taking my Whey Protein mixed in with a smoothie and will also be taking it prior to going to bed.

Pre-Workout Drink

A good pre-workout drink was almost mandatory if you workout after a long day of working – or just feel a little tired and not motivated to workout. A good one will give you a nice surge of energy and a good “pump” for the training session.

  • When: 30 minutes before workout
  • How Much To Take: 1-2 scoops
  • My Favorites: No-Xplode, Jack 3D

Creatine

I have taken Creatine on and off for over a decade and have always had amazing results. It is an amino acid and I notice that it has greatly assisted me in gaining size and strength.

When: Immediately after workout
How Much To Take: 20-25 grams for first week for “loading”, then 5-10 grams there after for “maintenance”

Glutamine

Glutamine is the most abundant single amino acid in your body and plays a key role in muscle
growth and it is very cheap to buy and is great no matter what your particular fitness goals are.

Multi-Vitamin

It is absolutely crucial that your body get the necessary vitamins and minerals so that your bodies many physiological processes be performed correctly. So, I can’t recommend enough the necessity of taking a good multi-vitamin.
